The Barbara Maxim-Hendsbee Memorial Fund
In May of 2021 we were all shocked and saddened by the loss of one of our most beloved fosters and adopters Barbara Maxim Hendsbee and her young granddaughter while they were on a walk. It was a shock that rocked a whole community and all of us at Little Paws Big Hearts Pekingese Rescue. Barbara had been a long time foster of special needs dogs and on several occasions an adopter. She took in many challenging dogs for the rescue and gave each one all the love and caring she had. Her loss is still deeply felt by her family and our rescue. While dealing with this loss we would like to keep the memory of Barbara and granddaughter alive by perpetuating her love and good works for the dogs she loved so much. We hope in some small way this is what the fund will accomplish and maybe it will in a big way for those who loved her so much. The purpose of this fund will be to provide extra help to foster dogs who are care and need extra help in order to prepare them for adoption. We hope you can find it in your heart to contribute to this worthy cause that will keep a light shining on lives cut too short. Donations may be made via Paypal at LPBHPR@aol.com or by check or money order to:
